The Cabinet has appreciated His Highness the Amir of State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani’s participation via video conference in the G-20 extraordinary meeting on Afghanistan.
The Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, praised HH the Amir’s speech and its important theme of transitioning Afghanistan to a new phase of peace that realizes the aspirations of the people of Afghanistan, and sees a strengthening cooperation between the country and its region as well as other members of the international community.
The Cabinet also praised HH the Amir’s call on the international community to adopt a practical approach towards the Afghan issue.
