The Amir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and HM King Abdullah II bin Hussein of Jordan on Wednesday visited Education City Stadium, which will host FIFA World Cup 2022 matches up to the quarter-finals.
HH the Amir and the Jordanian king listened to a briefing on the facilities contained in the stadium and its architectural design, which is in line with the highest international standards.
HH the Amir and the king were accompanied during their visit by a number of ministers and officials at the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, as well as members of the official delegation accompanying the king.
HH the Amir later led well-wishers to see off King Abdullah II bin Hussein and hid accompanying delegation from the Doha International Airport after the end of an official visit to the country.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs HE Dr Khalid bin Mohammed Al Attiyah, who is also head of the honorary mission accompanying the king, was present to see off the Jordanian king, along with a number of sheikhs, Ambassador of Qatar to Jordan HE Sheikh Saoud bin Nasser bin Jassim Al Thani and Ambassador of Jordan to Qatar HE Zaid Mufleh Al Lawzi.
