The 17th edition of Project Qatar came to an end on Thursday, having showcased the construction-related products and services of 150 exhibitors from 13 countries over the past four days.
The exhibition, which was held after months of mobility restrictions due to the coronavirus pandemic, provided new opportunities to participating companies to catch up with industry peers, reconnect with customers to market their products and services and sign new agreements and forge partnerships for the future.
Project Qatar 2021, which comprised several specialized exhibitions, conference sessions, and professional trainings, witnessed major turnout of visitors, registering 15,000 professionals. The vibrant presence of visitors and business networking held during the four-day mega-event reflects a positive and strong comeback for the construction sector as they look to meet project deadlines in the run-up to the country’s hosting of the FIFA World Cup 2022.
Haidar Mshaimesh, Projects Director, IFP Qatar, said: “We are proud of the success achieved by Project Qatar 2021 being the first in-person exhibition after long months of mobility restrictions due to the pandemic. We highly appreciate the support of the government, the sponsors, and the exhibitors as activities rolled out over the last four days. Participating top-notch manufacturers, distributors, and contractors, to cite a few, engaged with local decision-makers and their counterparts through Project Qatar, and we are happy to note the positive outcomes in these fruitful interactions where 92 per cent of exhibitors confirmed that they signed at least two new agreements during the exhibition period.”
Leading local and international entities such as the Public Works Authority (Ashghal), Qatar Green Building Council, Milaha and SIEMENS, brought to the spotlight the major growth opportunities in Qatar’s construction sector at the Future Projects Qatar Conference and explored the potentials and trends of the future.

The announcement was welcomed by the national companies participating in the exhibition. Several international companies from Italy, Germany, and India, also announced new agreements they have signed with Qatari companies to supply their products to the market.
