DPS-Modern School (DPS-MIS) honoured its meritorious students at an award ceremony held online recently. Indian Ambassador to Qatar HE Dr Deepak Mittal was the chief guest at the event which was attended by DPS-MIS President Hassan Chougule and members of DPS-MIS Executive Committee.
The excellent results of grades XII and X were presented by Rakhi Mishra, academic coordinator for grades XI and XII, and Vijayshree Nair, academic coordinator for grades IX and X. Nihit Agarwal, the school topper in grade XII, secured the position of ‘Qatar Topper’ in the science stream with a score of 99 percent. In grade X, DPS-MIS school toppers Gouthami Gireesh Varma and Theertha Aravind earned the title of Qatar Toppers and well as Gulf Toppers with 99.8 percent marks.
Extending a warm welcome to the ambassador, DPS-MIS Principal Asna Nafees appreciated his contribution to the well-being of the expatriate community in Qatar. She congratulated the star performers and commended the efforts of teachers and parents in helping the students achieve success in spite of the difficult times of COVID-19.
Hassan Chougule praised the high achievers and shared the accolades and achievements of DPS-MIS students.
The Indian ambassador inspired the students with his words of wisdom and advised them to aim higher, remain virtuous and contribute to achieving the dream of New India and a more sustainable world while building the world of their dreams. A total of 325 students were presented trophies and merit certificates for their exceptional academic performance. The four toppers were bestowed with Kanjani Toppers Award for academic genius and stupendous board results.
