Indian schools in Qatar celebrated ‘Hindi Pakhwara’ with a series of activities and competitions under the aegis of the Indian Embassy in Qatar and the North Indian Association of Qatar.
The finale of the inter-schools competitions of Hindi Pakhwara was held in Birla Public School (BPS) recently.
BPS Principal A.P. Sharma and Vice-Principal (Co-Scholastic) Rajesh Pillai addressed the student participants from various Indian schools, reiterating the importance of Hindi language and the need to promote it among all sections of Indians.
Posters on the heritage of the Hindi language were exhibited on bulletin boards on the BPS campus.
As part of Pakhwara, a special assembly was conducted and an inter-school poetry competition was also organised.
Singing, slogan writing and storytelling competitions were conducted in Hindi for BPS students to help develop their language skills and to promote Hindi among students.
The two-week long celebration was held at various venues in which the students of BPS participated with great interest.
