Baladna has announced a partnership with Liberty Packing Manufactures to supply dairy and juice packaging materials and cartons. The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed at Baladna’s headquarters on September 21.
Managing Director of Baladna Ramez Al-Khayyat and Vice Chairman and CEO of Liberty Packaging Ali Hassan Al-Emadi, signed the MoU. Piet Hilarides Baladna, CEO, and Abdulla Hassan Alobaidly, Member of the Board of Directors, were also present, as well as executives from both companies.
Baladna will be able to use products that meet international specifications and are manufactured in the local market thanks to this memorandum of understanding with Liberty Packing.
Ramez Al-Khayyat said: “This memorandum of understanding represents Baladna’s continuous commitment to enhance economic and industrial integration and interdependence between Qatari companies.”
“Baladna’s total purchases of Qatari products have increased from 25% in 2020 to 50% in the current year. These products range from raw materials, packaging supplies, and printing tools to logistical services, and fodder. This reflects Baladna’s approach to add value to the economy by raising the economic multiplier to reach sustainable growth. Baladna wants to increase cooperation with Qatari companies and production units to achieve an advanced level of self-sufficiency in line with Qatar Vision 2030.”
Ali Hassan Al-Emadi of Liberty Packing said: “This new partnership marks an important step in developing the local economy in line with Qatar’s National Vision, aimed at achieving sustainability and self-sufficiency for the State of Qatar.”
“We are proud of our partnership with Baladna, which ensures an advanced and stable system that provides their factory with the carton materials required for packaging dairy products and juices that better serve the requirements of the local market.”
