The Amir His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani met with representative of HH the Amir of Kuwait HH Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, Kuwaiti Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al Hamad Al Sabah and his accompanying delegation at the headquarters of the Permanent Mission of Qatar to the United Nations, on the sidelines of the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Kuwaiti prime minister conveyed the greetings of the Amir of Kuwait and Crown Prince HH Sheikh Mishaal Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah to HH the Amir, wishing him and the Qatari people best of health, happiness, progress and prosperity.
For his part, HH the Amir entrusted the Kuwaiti PM with his greetings and wishes of best of health to the Amir of Kuwait and the Crown Prince, and further development and progress to the Kuwaiti people.
During the meeting, they reviewed the close relations between the two countries and the means of enhancing them for the good of the two countries and their peoples. They also discussed regional and international developments of mutual concern.
HH the Amir also met with President of Slovenia Borut Pahor and his accompanying delegation, on the sidelines of the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
During the meeting, they discussed relations between the two countries and the means of enhancing them in various fields and exchanged views on the most prominent regional and international developments of mutual concern.
Besides, HH the Amir met with Prime Minister of UK Boris Johnson and his accompanying delegation on the sidelines of the 76th session the UN General Assembly in New York.
Talks during the meeting dealt with relations of cooperation and friendship between the two countries and aspects of developing them in all fields, in addition to the most prominent regional and international issues of mutual concern, particularly the developments of the situation in Afghanistan. The British PM expressed thanks and appreciation of the UK for the efforts Qatar has made to evacuate British nationals from Afghanistan and its support of the Afghani peace process.
The meetings were attended by a number of members of the official delegation accompanying HH the Amir.
