MES Indian School Principal Hameeda Kadar briefed the students of classes X and XII about the recent modifications brought in by the CBSE in the wake of COVID-19 in its assessment schemes for the academic year 2021-22.
The session, which was conducted online on Monday, highlighted the assessment of stipulated learning outcomes by making the examination competencies and core concepts based and student-centric schemes.
The school’s principal clarified, among other things, the division of the current academic year into two terms with the rationalised syllabus; key elements of Term-1 examination such as syllabus coverage, MCQ type question paper that contains case based and reasoning assertions; details of curriculum transaction which included internal assessment to be implemented from Classes IX to XII; preparation and up keeping of portfolios, subject-wise enrichment activities such as practical, lab work, art integrated projects etc.
Students were also adequately clarified about the modalities as well as the conduct of the internal and external examinations.
The attendees found the session very comprehensive and an eye-opener in more than one way.
