His Highness the Amir of State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has affirmed Qatar’s support for Algeria and Greece to combat the wildfires.
This came as HH the Amir on Wednesday held a telephone call with President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria Abdelmadjid Tebboune.
During the phone call, HH the Amir expressed his condolences to the Algerian president and the Algerian people for the victims of wildfires that broke out in a number of Algerian provinces. HH the Amir wished the injured a speedy recovery.
HH the Amir also expressed Qatar’s support to Algeria during the crisis, saying the country is ready to provide the necessary help to combat the wildfires and address their impact.
The call also dealt with the strong bilateral relations and the means to enhance them, in addition to discussing a number of issues of joint interest.
HH the Amir on Wednesday received a phone call from Prime Minister of the Hellenic Republic Kyriakos Mitsotakis, who expressed his thanks and appreciation to HH the Amir for the assistance provided by Qatar to Greece due to the fires that afflicted several regions in the country, in addition to its support to the Greek people in this crisis.
HH the Amir expressed his condolences for the victims of the fires, wishing the injured a speedy recovery. HH the Amir affirmed the support of Qatar and its willingness in the future to provide necessary assistance to Greece in such circumstances.
The phone call also dealt with bilateral relations and the ways to develop them. They also discussed a number of regional and international developments of common interest.
