The Qatari beach volleyball team qualified for the semi-finals today, after beating Italy by two clean sets at the Olympic Games in Tokyo. The Qatari duo, Ahmed Tejan and Sherif Younis, won the first half with a score of 21-17 and the second half with 23-21 to set up a date with the duo of the Russian Olympic Committee in the semi-finals. The Qatari team entered the competition with ambitions to win and get closer to the dream of getting an Olympic medal.
