Prime Minister inspects electoral headquarters Aug 02, 2021 0 439 12345 QNADohaPrime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani inspected a number of election committee headquarters to make sure all the necessary preparations are complete for the registration of the voters’ lists for the Shura Council elections before the start at the headquarters on Sunday, in addition to the electronic registration through text messages or Metrash application.The PM was accompanied by a number of officials of the supervisory committee and the executive committees concerned with the Shura Council elections.On Saturday, the PM issued a slew of decision to form the candidates’ committee and voters’ committee. The PM also issued a decision specifying the sources of financing electoral campaigns and the controls and procedures for supervising it. The decision stipulates that the maximum expenditure of each candidate on electoral campaigns shall be QR2 million.The voters’ registration process to elect the Shura Council in its first session started on Sunday, and it will continue until next Thursday. The preliminary lists of voters will be announced on Sunday (August 8).
