Several dead following attack on funeral service in Iraq’s Yathrib Aug 01, 2021 0 27 12345 Baghdad: Several people were killed in an attack on a funeral service in Yathrib, in Iraq, according to INA state news agency, citing security sources.Witnesses said 13 people had died and at least 50 were injured. Islamic State terrorists attacked the people with machine guns and then fled, according to the statements.The attack occurred on Friday evening. There has been no official confirmation of the number who died or description of what exactly happened. The attack comes a week and a half after an attack on a market in Baghdad in which at least 30 people were killed and more than 50 were injured. In January, 32 people were killed and 110 injured in a terrorist attack in Baghdad. IS claimed responsibility for both attacks.
