Qatar on Sunday recorded 86 new COVID-19 cases — 54 from within the community and 32 among travellers returning from abroad.
The Ministry of Public Health also reported 135 recoveries. With this, the active cases in Qatar declined to 1,464 while the total recoveries jumped to 221,295. No new death linked to the virus was reported in the the past 24 hours, leaving the total number of deaths so far at 599. As many as 6,657 doses of COVID-19 vaccine were administered in the last 24 hours, bringing the total doses given out so far to 3,396,963.
COVID-19 will continue to be a threat to our health for the majority of 2021 and until all eligible members of our population have been vaccinated, we must continue to follow the preventive measures.
