Doha Festival City (DFC) has launched ‘Bon Appetit’, an international food event, taking place between June 20 and July 25, 2021, featuring a wide selection of the mall’s food and beverage (F&B) outlets. The event will take visitors on a one-of-a-kind culinary journey while showcasing a diversity of cuisines from various restaurants and cafés from across the world at the mall.
More than 100 restaurants and food kiosks will take part in the event.
The event will also feature fun-filled activities and international 3D displays of famous monuments and signature dishes from countries such as Qatar, France, Italy, the United Kingdom, Turkey and the USA.
Visitors taking part in the ‘Bon Appetit’ will have a chance to win prizes in the raffle draw campaign and capture memorable moments at the special Food Festival photo opportunities.
Speaking at a press conference to announce the launch, DFC General Manager Robert Hall said, “We are excited to launch our ‘Bon Appetit’ international food campaign and introduce Qatar’s eclectic community to different cuisines and traditions, bringing them together for a joyful gastronomic celebration.
“I would like to thank our esteemed partners from the embassies and sponsors such as L’eto café, Karafirin, Tawfeeq Travel and CRAVE for their support in organising such a unique campaign. While we rejoice in being able to get back to in-person events, we at Festival City remain committed to health and safety of our customers and staff, following the most thorough safety protocols.”
Hall said that to add excitement to the gastronomic experience, visitors will be invited to take part in ‘Bon Appetit’ raffle draw for a chance to win amazing prizes from retailers and sponsors, with a grand prize of a Volvo S90 momentum 2020 car.
Customers who wish to participate in the raffle draws must register online via special link and QR codes which will take them to AlWhatsApp account where they will be required to enter their information and complete the registration.
Once the registration is finalised, the customer will have an online digital passport in the raffle draw campaign system. Food Passport information desks will be open for all the food campaign-related enquiries or registration assistance between 2pm and 10pm on weekdays and 2pm and 11pm from Thursday to Saturday. Passport booth branding will change every week to pay tribute to the various countries representing the diverse cuisines at the mall.
An exciting line-up of interactive photo opportunities and 3D displays featuring famous monuments and signature dishes of participating counties will be installed throughout the mall. Five stands will be themed with landmarks from Qatar, Turkey, India, France, Italy, UK and USA for visitors to take pictures and learn more about each country.
Every minimum of QR50 receipt in any of the food outlets earns the customer a digital stamp, and every six stamps - a digital raffle draw ticket.
To enter the raffle draw, customers should photograph their receipts dated between June 20 and July 25, 2021 and send them to the dedicated AIWhatsApp number which can be accessed via the special links and QR codes.
‘Bon Appetit’ raffle draw participants will have a chance to win gift cards worth up to QR500, QR1,000 and QR5,000, as well trips for two to Turkey, France, Italy, the UK and the USA, or a Volvo S90 momentum 2020 as the first prize.
