The second phase of lifting COVID-19 restrictions will begin on Friday as part of a gradual plan to lift all curbs imposed due to the pandemic.
With relaxing of restrictions, a maximum of 80 percent of government and private sector employees will return to offices. However, employees who did not receive all the doses of their COVID-19 vaccines must carry out a rapid antigen test on a weekly basis.
Mosques will continue to be open for daily and Friday prayers, but children under seven are not allowed in. Toilets and ablution facilities will remain closed.
Weddings at independent wedding halls and wedding halls in hotels will be allowed with a maximum capacity of 40 people, provided at least 75 percent of the attendees have been full vaccinated.
Gatherings or sitting in public parks, beaches, and the Corniche for a maximum of 10 people or family members residing in the same house will be allowed.
Malls can operate at a maximum capacity of 50 percent, with children under 12 allowed in. Food courts can open at a maximum capacity of 30 percent. Prayer areas are allowed to open while changing rooms remain closed.
Metro and public transport services will be allowed to operate at a maximum capacity of 30 percent throughout the week, while closing the smoking areas and banning eating and drinking inside these services.
Driving schools will continue to operate at a maximum capacity of 30 percent. All workers in the schools must have completed their COVID-19 vaccination.
Popular markets will continue to operate throughout the week with a capacity not exceeding 50 percent. Children under 12 are allowed in. Wholesale markets will continue to operate with a maximum 50 percent capacity. Children below 12 are allowed in.
Beauty salons and barbershops can operate at a maximum capacity of 30 percent, provided that all workers in these facilities and clients have completed taking both the doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
