Qatar’s young rider Hamad Al Sahouti is all set to take part in the European Talent Cup
in Spain.
Al Sahouti will ride for Team Leopard in four races, with the first round to be held at Circuit Barcelona-Catalunya on June 13.
The talented Qatari will then take part in the second race in Portimao on July 4, followed by races in Aragon (July 25) and Jerez (October 17). Al Sahouti will skip the fifth round as it clashes with the Asian Talent Cup.
The Qatar Motor & Motorcycle Federation’s (QMMF) Executive Director Amro Al Hamad said: “The collaboration between Leopard and QMMF is a great milestone into hopefully a long lasting journey. We have realised quite some time ago that Leopard has the winning formula when it comes to developing champions. Unfortunately our plans were delayed because of Covid. Having Hamad enroll with a team with such experience is just the start to many more.”
In the European Talent Cup there have been four top winners in 2021 thus far — Jacob Roulstone (Leopard Impala Junior Team) won Race 1 in Estoril while David Garcia (Finetwork Hawkers Junior Team) won Race 2.
The first round in Valencia was won by Xabi Zurutuza (Cuna de Campeones) while Alvaro Carpe ( MT-Foundation 77) topped Race 2.
