Sidra Medicine and Afif Charity have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU), whereby the charity will provide financial assistance to cover the cost of treatment, medications and medical supplies for paediatric patients in need at Sidra. The MoU was signed by Dr Barbro Fridén, chief executive officer of Sidra Medicine, and Zalikha Al Asmakh, acting chief executive officer of Afif Charity.
In addition to covering the treatment and costs of medicines and medical supplies for paediatric patients, Afif Charity will also provide community support to sick children who are being treated at Sidra Medicine.
Dr Fridén said, “We are pleased with our partnership with Afif Charity. We look forward to working with Afif Charity as their support will go a long way towards providing vital financial assistance to many families in need.”
Asmakh said, “Our partnership with Sidra Medicine is part of Afif Charity’s social responsibility to contribute to helping poor and sick people. We are united in our joint efforts to supporting the wider community and ensuring they have access to quality healthcare, especially those families who require financial assistance for their children’s medical treatment.”
