Qatar Charity presented gifts to its volunteers and staff at the COVID-19 vaccination centre in Doha Industrial Area in recognition of their efforts to combat the pandemic during Eid Al-Fitr.
Nearly 370 volunteers, medical professionals, and other personnel of the centre received the gifts, expressing their joy and gratitude for the thoughtful effort.
Qatar Charity continues to recruit volunteers to support the vaccination centre as part of its ongoing awareness-raising efforts to combat the COVID-19 pandemic. On a daily basis, 100 Qatar Charity volunteers work at the centre.
Qatar Charity has also provided volunteer supervisors to train volunteers and coordinate between Qatar Charity’s volunteering section and the volunteers.
Volunteers at the vaccination centre help visitors by educating them on precautionary measures (social distancing, masks, and sanitisers), organising their entry and exit, and assisting them in getting vaccinated.
This centre assists residents and workers in the Doha Industrial Area and surrounding areas in vaccinations. More than 250,000 workers have already received at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
The centre provides the first and second doses for priority groups in accordance with national standards.
