Registered property sales in Qatar between May 16 and 20 generated QR447.3 million, the latest Ezdan Real Estate report has said, citing figures from the country’s Real Estate Registration Department.
Building sales dominated these deals, generating QR350 million and making up 78.3 percent of the total sales value during the period.
Seven municipalities — Umm Salal, Al Khor, Al Thakira, Al Doha, Al Rayyan, Al Shamal, Al Daayen, and Al Wakra — saw property sales during the period. The deals included sale of vacant land lots, residences, multi-use buildings and multi-use land lots and residential buildings, the report, which is sponsored by SAK Partnerships, said.
Doha municipality came on top in terms of transaction value through the sale of a residential building in Onaiza. The transaction generated QR223.4 million. The property is 34,027 square metres in area and was sold at a QR610 per square foot. Doha has also seen the sale of a residential building in the samre region, at a value of QR45.8 million, extending over 6,930 square metres It was sold at QR614 per square foot.
Shedding light on rental rates in Qatar, the report said, Ezdan Village 1 in Al-Gharafa offers premium rental rates and boasts a privileged location in the heart of the Al-Gharafa region near major commercial centres and vital facilities. The rent for a furnished two-room apartment there starts at QR 5,100 per month, while that of a furnished villa rental starts at QR7,200 per month.
The Ezdan Village 2, in the nearby Al Duhail area, opposite the Ezdan Mall and a few minutes away from the major shopping malls, comes with rates starting from QR6,050 for a two-bedroom furnished apartment, while a furnished apartment of three rooms starts at QR6,200.
Ezdan Real Estate company runs more than 22,800 residential units, and around 790 commercial units inside Doha and its environs, including in Al Wakra and in Al Wukair. The company continues to invest in the real estate sector and contribute to real estate development of Qatar on a large scale.
