Birla Public School (BPS), Primary-I Doha conducted a virtual investiture ceremony for the student council members for the academic year 2021-2022. All the young student council members were well prepared to assume the mantle of leadership and responsibility.
The ceremony was held with the motto ‘Loyalty, Truth & Honour’ to inculcate leadership qualities among students which has helped them execute the vision and mission of the school effectively.
School Management Committee Chairman Gope Shahani, Director Lukose Chacko, Management Representative Chindu Anthony Rappai and the leadership team attended the event.
Hosts Karthik Menon and Arya Lakshmi took charge of the programme.
Sharmila Mitra, teacher of primary I, welcomed the school management committee members, well-wishers, parents and teachers.
School Principal AP Sharma narrated a very interesting story with a meaningful message that everyone can be a leader and find a solution to every problem when the situation demands.
Lukose Chacko enlightened the students with his words urging them to realise the importance of opportunities that come in one’s way and acquire skills that will make them worthy citizens willing to give back to their families, society, nation and the world at large.
Rappai thanked the office-bearers of the previous academic year and congratulated the office-bearers for their achievements.
Rajesh Pillai, vice-principal (Co-Scholastic), praised the students for exhibiting their talents.
Shruti, head mistress for Primary I, invited the parents to felicitate their children with badges and sashes, as they were sworn in as office-bearers.
The principal administered the pledge of the mantle of responsibility to the students.
School Sports Captain Nehan Shaqueeque, Sports Vice-Captain Kanushka Manjunath and the office bearers of Mars, Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune houses pledged to discharge their duties to the best of their abilities.
The programme proceeded with the oath taking ceremony by the school sports captain along with other office-bearers.
