The Ministry of Municipality and Environment, represented by the Public Parks Department, in cooperation with the Embassy of China in Qatar, organised a diverse tree-planting event as part of the initiative to plant one million trees.
The event was attended by Ambassador of China to Qatar HE Zhou Jian, a number of the Chinese community members in Qatar and some officials and engineers of the Public Parks Department, where a number of tree seedlings that suit the climatic conditions of the Qatar environment were planted.
The Public Parks Department at the Ministry of Municipality and Environment invites all entities, institutions and community members to contribute to the initiative to plant one million trees, because trees are of special importance in preserving the ecosystem and because of their positive repercussions on human health and quality of life.
