Oslo Hundreds of doses of AstraZeneca’s Covid-19 vaccine are thrown away every day in Stockholm because people refuse to take that shot, a head physician in Sweden told broadcaster SVT on Monday.
Johan Styrud of the Stockholm medical association said it was not possible to find enough vaccine volunteers quickly enough and if the shot was not administered within a few hours, it had to be thrown away.
After a small number of people suffered from blot clots after receiving the AstraZeneca vaccine, its use has been limited to people above 65 in Sweden. (dpa)
