Moscow Russian President Vladimir Putin has accepted an invitation by his US counterpart, Joe Biden, to attend an online video conferenced on climate change this Thursday.
Putin will explain Russia’s approach to overcoming the negative consequences of global climate change with a view to international cooperation, the Kremlin said on Monday.
Biden had extended the invitation to Putin to attend the two-day virtual summit during a phone call last week.
The US president also wants to meet Putin in Europe this summer for a face-to-face meeting to discuss US-Russian relations. (dpa)
