Bangkok: Malaysia started the second phase of its Covid-19 vaccination programme on Monday, though only around one-quarter of 9.4 million people eligible have registered, according to the minister in charge. Despite the slow sign-up, Minister for Science, Technology and Innovation Khairy Jamaluddin said on Monday that the vaccinating schedule for the rest of April was “full.”  Malaysians aged 60 and older and people deemed “high risk,” due to conditions such as diabetes and heart disease, began getting vaccinated on Monday, as the second stage of Malaysia’s plan kicked off.
