The Police Training Institute conducted the final exercise for a number of foundational and specialised courses for the 8th batch of newly appointed Police Brigades, in the presence of a number of officers from the Ministry of Interior and the Armed Forces,
The exercise included training for rapid intervention courses, riot dispersal, and security patrol skill development, all of which are part of the training and qualification plans for the first quarter of this year.
Lieutenant-Colonel Ali Saud Al Hanzab, Director of Police Training Institute, said that the training aims to upgrade the capabilities and skills of cadre at the Ministry of Interior, as well as qualify and prepare them for major sporting events that the country will witness in the coming phase.
He explained that this exercise marks the end of the first quarter of the institute’s training plan for the year (2021-2022) and is based on the training of Ministry of Interior employees in a variety of areas such as police operations, security patrols, and combat skills in built-up areas.
