His Highness the Amir of State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Chairman of the Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investment, on Wednesday chaired the council’s first meeting in 2021 via video conference.
His Highness the Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani, Deputy Chairman of the Council, participated in the meeting along with Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, Executive Member of the Council, and members of the council.
The council reviewed the progress of 2020’s decisions and recommendations, and approved mechanisms to follow up and monitor decisions and projects.
The council was briefed on developments related to the Investment Promotion Agency, the Free Zones Authority, as well as developments in the energy and investment fields.
The council also discussed topics on the meeting’s agenda, and took the appropriate measures regarding them.
