The United States Embassy and the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) will host the EducationUSA-Qatar 2021 Virtual University Fair on Tuesday, April 6 and Wednesday, April 7 from 4pm to 8pm each day as part of the Qatar-USA 2021 Year of Culture.
The virtual fair will provide a unique opportunity for high school and graduate students in Qatar to interact directly with university representatives from over 50 US colleges and universities. Participants will gain valuable information about academic programmes, tuition costs, campus life, financial aid options, application procedures and safety precautions in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. This virtual fair makes it easy to learn about the advantages of studying in the United States and to meet with EducationUSA advisers about your future college needs.
High school students, university and graduate students, parents, school counsellors and advisors are invited to attend the Fair from 4pm to 8pm through the link:

Chargé d’Affaires of the US Embassy Ambassador Greta Holtz said studying in the US higher education institutions offers a range of opportunities for students in Qatar, including state-of-the-art campuses using the latest technology, leading experts serving as professors and instructors, unparalleled access to advisors and career services, an array of extracurricular and student activities, and so much more.
Ministry of Education and Higher Education Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Higher Education Dr Khalid Al Ali said, “Partnering with the US Embassy in Qatar during the Qatar-USA 2021 Year of Culture strengthens our broad and enduring partnership with the United States and opens doors of opportunity for Qatari students to pursue higher education in some of the world’s most prestigious universities and colleges.”
Cultural Attaché of the Embassy of Qatar in Washington Mohammed Alhamad said he is pleased to participate in the EducationUSA-Qatar 2021 Virtual University Fair.
He said, “As we are based in the United States, we see firsthand the unmatched education experience US higher education offers to Qatari students who are in the United States studying in an array of academic fields. Our embassy and consular staff across the United States stand ready to provide consular services and other relevant programmatic support to all Qatari students during their stay in the United States.”
EducationUSA is the official source of information on US higher education and a member of the US Department of State’s network of over 425 international student advising centres around the world.
The network provides accurate, comprehensive and current information about opportunities to study at accredited postsecondary institutions in the US.
