Minister of Commerce and Industry HE Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari received on Monday a delegation of US mayors currently visiting the country.
The delegation included Francis Suarez, Mayor of Miami, Florida, Kyle Moore, Mayor of Quincy, Illinois, and Bryan Barnett, Mayor of Rochester Hills, Michigan. The meeting was attended by Qatar’s Ambassador to the United States of America HE Sheikh Meshal bin Hamad Al Thani and Charge d’Affaires of the US Embassy in Qatar Ambassador Greta C Holtz. During the meeting, the convening parties discussed ways to enhance cooperation in the commercial, investment, and industrial fields. They additionally touched on the opportunities available to increase trade exchange and develop investment and industrial relations between the two countries. Kuwari highlighted the economic policies that Qatar had adopted and the measures it had taken to abolish restrictions on foreign investment and create more opportunities for companies looking to invest in Qatar.
