The International Chamber of Commerce Qatar (ICC Qatar) in partnership with Refinitiv will be hosting an online event entitled ‘Resilient and Resurgent: Qatar Oil and Gas Overview’ on March 24.
This online event aims to look at the energy sector beyond the COVID-19 pandemic and examine how the oil-producing and exporting countries are being affected due to a reduction in fuel prices.
The upcoming online event comprises a panel discussion following a keynote speech from Anne Kat Brevik, Director and LNG Researcher at Refinitiv, on the outlook of liquefied natural gas (LNG) in Qatar.
The distinguished members of the panel include Mazars Partner Hatem Elsafty, Al Attiyah Foundation Energy Head Howard Bevan, Refinitiv Senior Oil Analyst Sudharsan Sarathy and Refinitiv Senior Oil Analyst Abhishek Kumar. International Energy Agency (IEA) Oil Market Analyst Kristine Petrosyan will moderate the session.
The speakers will provide an overview of Qatar’s oil and gas industry and engage in discussions on Qatar’s economy and how the blockade has changed its foreign trade dynamics, the emergence of alternative and cleaner sources of energy, and the impact of COVID-19 on the energy sector.
The online event is open to the public and targets stakeholders in the energy sector.
