Qatar is participating in the 14th UN Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice, which began in the Japanese city of Kyoto on Monday and will continue until March 12.
Qatar is represented by a delegation including Permanent Representative of Qatar to the United Nations and international organisations in Vienna HE Sultan bin Salmeen Al Mansouri, Ambassador of Qatar to Japan HE Hassan bin Mohammed Rafi Al Emadi and Second Secretary of the Embassy of Qatar in Vienna HE Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Nasser Al
Thani.
Minister of Justice and Acting Minister of Cabinet Affairs HE Dr Issa bin Saad Al Jafali Al Nuaimi participated in the opening session that was held via video conferencing.
He handed over the banner from Qatar, in its capacity as President of the 13th United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention and Criminal Justice which was hosted by Doha in 2015, to Japan, stressing Qatar’s keenness on providing full support to the new Japanese presidency for the success of its tasks.
