His Highness the Amir of State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani attended the competitions of day 4 of the 19th Qatar Total Open 2021 for women’s tennis at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex on Thursday. HH the Amir watched the match between Ukraine’s Elina Svitolina and Victoria Azarenka played in the quarter-finals, which ended with a 6-2, 6-4 win for Azarenka. HH the Amir also watched the match between Czech Karolina Pliskova and American Jessica Pegula in which Pegula secured 6-3, 6-1 win to qualify for the semi-finals. A number of sheikhs, ministers and tennis fans attended the matches amidst precautionary measures taken to curb the spread of COVID-19. (QNA)
