Qatar Chamber (QC) and Doha Institute for Graduate Studies (DI) signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on Tuesday to bolster cooperation in several fields such as studies, research and events in a way that serves the interests of the private sector.
The MoU was signed at the DI’s headquarter by Assistant Director-General for Government Relations and Committees Affairs at QC Ali Bu Sherbak Al Mansouri and Dean of the School of Public Administration and Development Economics (SPADE) at the DI Dr Hamid Ali.
Director of Research and Studies Department at QC Noora Al Oulan and Director of Communication and External Relations at the DI Ali Al Kaabi were also present at the ceremony.
The MoU aims at developing cooperation between both sides in research, studies and scientific activities, as well as organising events, seminars and workshops in areas of common interest.
The agreement also aims to enhance cooperation between both institutions, promote exchange of expertise and experts according to the regulations of each party, and prepare relevant studies and research.
Commenting on the MoU, Ali Bu Sherbak said the Qatar Chamber is eager to enhance cooperation with the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies and exchange experience between both sides, stressing the importance of research and studies in economic and commercial sectors.
On her part, Noora Al Oulan said the QC’s Research and Studies Department is preparing a number of studies and organising a series of seminars and workshops related to the activities of the private sector, noting that signing the MoU offers an opportunity to benefit from the experiences of the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies in such scientific activities.
