Minister of Education and Higher Education HE Dr Mohammed bin Abdul Wahed Al Hammadi expressed his thanks and gratitude to His Highness the Amir of State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani for honouring and patronizing the Education Excellence Award Day ceremony.
The minister said the generous patronage of this award by HH the Amir, especially in light of COVID-19, is a proof of the importance attached by HH to this award. Dr Al Hammadi affirmed that the ministry has made great efforts to confront the spread of the COVID-19 and to reduce its negative effects on education, as it took the decision to implement a distance education system. The transition to this system in schools was smooth in these exceptional circumstances, he said. (QNA)
