Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani inspected the COVID-19 drive-through vaccination centre in Lusail on Monday.
The PM was briefed on the functioning of the center and the drive-through vaccination mechanism for those who meet the requirements to take the second dose of the vaccine.
This is part of the facilities provided by the Ministry of Health for the vaccination process, within the National Program for Vaccination against COVID-19.
The vaccination process for visitors in the new center includes registration and assessment, vaccination, and observation.
Minister of Public Health Dr Hanan Mohamed Al Kuwari said Qatar continues to implement the COVID-19 vaccination programme as per the plan. She said the inauguration of the new COVID-19 drive-through vaccination centre in Lusail will provide another option for the population to get inoculated in the car. She noted that the drive-through PCR testing centers were very popular. The centre is part of Qatar’s strategy to upscale its National COVID-19 Vaccination Programme.
Operated by Hamad Medical Corporation, in collaboration with Primary Health Care Corporation, the centre will provide a significant boost to the vaccination programme and administer second doses to eligible people.
