It has also predicted intermittent, scattered rain of varying intensities until Thursday (February 25).
“The chances of rain expected to increase on Wednesday, which may be thundery in some areas accompanied by strong wind at times,” the QMD said.
The rain may be accompanied by thunder and sudden strong winds, QMD said in its latest weather report.
The QMD has also forecast fresh northwesterly winds from Thursday midday. Wind speeds may range between 12 and 22 KT during the weekend, with possible gusts reaching 28 KT inshore and offshore.
The QMD also said Bard Al Ajouz days will start at the end of February and will last till March beginning.
