The Primary Health Care Cooperation (PHCC) has identified 15 health centres to operate from 7am to 11pm during National Sport Day on Tuesday (today).
The health centres that will operate are: Al Wakra, Airport, Umm Ghuwailina, Omar Bin Al Khattab, West Bay, Al Sheehaniya, Abu Baker Al Siddiq, Muaither, Al Rayyan, Mesaimeer, Al Ruwais, Al Khor, Leabaib, Gharrafat Al Rayyan and Madinat Khalifa, while Al Jumailiya health centre will operate on a call-up system.
With regard to the health centres dedicated to examine and keep suspected cases of infection of coronavirus (COVID-19), PHCC stated that the Rawdat Al Khail and Umm Salal health centres will work continuously for 24 hours.
Health centres that will be closed on sports day are: Al Daayen, Al Wajbah, Al Waab, Al Thumama, Abu Nakhla, Qatar University, Leghwairiya and Al Karana, and Al Kaaban Health Center, except for the urgent cases unit at the centre, which will operate 24 hours.
Concerning the appointments for specialised clinics, two eye clinics in the Leabaib and Airport health centres will operate in two shifts, in the morning from 7am to 2pm, and the evening from 4pm until 10pm, while the ENT clinics in the Leabaib and Mesaimeer health centres will operate in two shifts from 7am to 2pm and from 4pm until 10pm.
The dermatology clinics at Leabaib and Muaither health centres will also operate in two shifts, from 7am to 2pm and from 4pm to 10pm, while dental clinics will operate continuously from 7am to 10pm.
The PHCC set working hours for urgent cases units to 24 hours in Al Ruwais, Al Kaaban, Umm Salal, Gharrafat Al Rayyan, Al Sheehaniya, Abu Baker Al Siddiq, Muaither and Rawdat Al Khail health centres, while the community call centre will operate 24 hours.
With regard to COVID-19 examination service through vehicles, PHCC noted that this service will be available according to the appointments specified for patients in advance in the health centres as follows:
First: The service will only be available in the morning period from 7am to 2pm at Al Thumama Health Center, West Bay Health Center and Al Khor Health Center.
Second: The service will operate in the evening only from 4pm to 11pm in Leabaib, Al Wajbah and Al Rayyan health centre.
Third: The examination service through vehicles will be carried out in two shifts from 7am to 2pm and from 4pm to 11pm in Al Wakra, Al Waab, Mesaimeer and Abu Baker Al Siddiq health centres.
