His Highness the Amir of State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani patronised the graduation ceremony of the 16th batch of graduates of Ahmed Bin Mohammed Military College at its headquarters on Thursday.
After the national anthem was played and the commander of the parade came forward to request HH the Amir to review the queue of the 158 graduates from Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan and Mauritania, the graduates and the military parade began.
HH the Amir then honoured the first 11 outstanding graduates.
The sixteenth batch handed over the flag to the seventeenth batch, and the order for promotion was read out and the parade queue left. At the end of the ceremony, the officers of the sixteenth batch took the oath and performed the college anthem.
In an Instagram post, HH the Amir congratulated the graduates of the 16th batch of the Ahmed Bin Mohammed Military College.
“We congratulate the graduates of the 16th batch of Ahmed Bin Mohammed Military College for a new class in the security ranks, wishing them all success in serving our country,” HH the Amir said in the post.
In a speech, Commander of the Ahmed Bin Mohammed Military College Staff Colonel Abdulhadi Mohammed Al Hajri said the graduating batch is honoured by HH the Amir’s attendance every year.
He said HH the Amir honoring the ceremony was in order to share with the faculty of the college their joy in graduating a new generation that will follow the path of previous generations by being an impregnable wall for this country and capable of facing political repercussions, regional challenges and fulfilling the ambitions of the country and its leaders.
Thanks to God’s grace and the wise directives, Ahmed Bin Mohammed Military College was able to complete its educational and training path successfully in light of the challenges, most notably the coronavirus pandemic, as precautionary measures were taken to ensure the safety of candidates and all college staff, he added.
He explained that the college became a place of expertise and a reference in the field of academic training and education.
The college is ranked highly today and carries the responsibility of raising its students in an educational, intellectual and military upbringing in light of the educational and intellectual changes and developments, he added.
The graduation ceremony was attended by Prime Minister and Minister of Interior HE Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani, a number of Ministers, Chief of Staff of the Army of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Operations and Training Assistant in the State of Kuwait Major General Faleh Shuja Al Otaibi, Commander of the Military Academy of Cherchell in the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria Major General Salmi Pasha, Commander of the Royal Military Academy in the Kingdom of Morocco Major General Hassan Al Taeik, Commandant of Rwanda Military Academy in the Republic of Rwanda Major General Innocent Kabandana, Vice President of Mutah University for Military Affairs in the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan Brigadier General Mohammad Aref Mahmoud Abu Zaid, Commander of the Military College of the Republic of Turkey Brigadier General Mustafa Ayer, the Commander of the Administration Battalion at the Military College in the Republic of Sudan Colonel Alamuddin Fadlullah Abudeik, the Commander of Sultan Qaboos Military College in the Sultanate of Oman Lieutenant Colonel Mohammed bin Ahmed Al-Mashikhi and a number of leaders of colleges, institutes and security and military academies from brotherly and friendly countries.
The ceremony was also attended by senior officers of the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Interior, the Amiri Guard, the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) and the State Security Bureau, in addition to their Excellencies heads of diplomatic missions in the country and the parents of the graduates.
