The Ministry of Municipality and Environment (MME) has said it had informed violators sufficiently before carrying out the removal of encroachment operations. In a tweet, the MME said the municipalities and other sectors in the ministry have set timetables for removal of encroachments , and distributed posters at the places of violations. The MME said it is keen to inform the violators before carrying out the removal operation. Commenting on the claim by some that they are not aware of the removal of encroachments on state property, the MME said it had previously announced through local newspapers and social media that it had carried out a campaign to remove encroachments in all regions of the country for a period of six months.
