There’s a chill in the air. At 4 degree Celsius, Abu Samra in Qatar on Thursday recorded the lowest temperature of this winter season.
The Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) has forecast a colder weekend with another cold spell sweeping the country.
“It is expected that the country will be affected by a cold spell from Wednesday night as the minimum temperatures decrease significantly especially during the weekend with low temperatures ranging between 8-17 degrees Celsius and reaching less than that in some southern and external areas of the country,” the QMD said.
The QMD forecast misty weather conditions at first followed by day with clouds and cold nights. It said the temperature for the weekend will vary between 13 to 26 degrees Celsius.
It said during the day, temperature will be moderate with some clouds, while the night will be cold with northwesterly wind.
