The Bedaya Center for Entrepreneurship and Career Development (Bedaya Center), a joint initiative of Qatar Development Bank and Silatech, has announced the launch of the “Qatari Chef” initiative in collaboration with “Al Hazm” – the first destination for those seeking excellence and luxury in Qatar.
The 11-day programme will take place from 26 January to 13 February, every day from 4.00 p.m. to midnight.
Local entrepreneurs will be able to showcase their talents, skills and products in the high-end food and beverage sector through the ‘Qatari Chef’ initiative. Entrepreneurs wishing to participate in this initiative may apply to the Bedaya Center. All applications will be reviewed by the Center and only 10 applicants will be selected. There will be no fees for applying for participation. This initiative is a continuation of the pioneering and effective role played by the Bedaya Center and Al Hazm in supporting entrepreneurs, and this time by giving them the opportunity to showcase and promote their products in the most famous and prestigious location that attracts people from all over Qatar-Al Hazm.
In addition to providing POS Systems (Point of Sale Systems) on a complimentary basis, Al Hazm will provide special spaces for all participants free of charge, which will help them save time and effort and facilitate their tasks.
In order to participate in the “Qatari Chef” event, the Bedaya Center has set out certain conditions for the application, according to which the entrepreneur must have a valid commercial registration or a home license and provide all the equipment necessary to operate his/her space when he/she is selected, in addition to the submission of health certificates to all staff.
Commenting on this initiative, Abdulla Faleh Al Saeed, Member of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of Bedaya Center said, “Through the ‘Qatari Chef’ initiative, we seek to highlight distinctive Qatari projects. By joining forces with Al Hazm, one of the most prestigious malls in Qatar, our goal is to provide an opportunity for a group of entrepreneurs specialising in the high-end food and beverage sector. This event will provide an effective platform for our entrepreneurs to develop and develop their products and to promote them in a manner consistent with market requirements that puts them in competition with their peers in this sector to deliver the best. “
