HE President of the Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) Sheikh Joaan bin Hamad Al Thani, on Tuesday met with the International Judo Federation President Marius Vizer, who is currently in Doha to attend the ongoing Doha World Judo Masters Championship 2021. During the meeting, they reviewed sports cooperation between the two parties and means of developing and boosting them. HE Sheikh Joaan welcomed the president of the International Judo Federation, noting to the fruitful and deep relations between the Qatari and the International Judo Federation (IJF). Sheikh Joaan thanked IJF as well for the significant role it plays in developing the sport and increasing its popularity around the world, affirming that Qatar will continue supporting judo sport at all levels, in close cooperation with IJF. In turn, Vizer expressed his satisfaction with the visit to Qatar and meeting Qatari sports officials. He praised the international sporting status of Qatar and the organizational and technical level of the Masters Judo Championship being held at the Lusail Multipurpose Hall. (QNA)
