Qatar University’s College of Engineering (QU-CENG) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Engineers and Engineering Offices Accrediting & Classifying Committee to establish collaboration in the field of research, consultancy and knowledge transfer. The MoU was signed by CENG Dean Dr Khalid Kamal Naji and the committee’s Chair Eng Khaled Juma Al Marzooqi in the presence of officials from both sides.
It aims to establish collaboration between QU and the committee in the academic, research and student training and support field, as well as the exchange of information and consultancy.
Under the MoU, CENG will provide the committee with consultancy and workshops covering different areas. CENG faculty will also support the committee’s projects by ensuring knowledge transfer and progressive development of existing projects.
Commenting on the MoU, Dr Naji said, “This partnership expands cooperation with the committee related to cooperation in the field of training and management of Engineers Classification exam in Qatar, as well as expanding partnerships with specialised faculty members, holding events and launching various initiatives that serve all parties. “This MoU contributes to activating community partnership and facilitating the transfer of knowledge and technology, and deepening the relationship with the committee towards more cooperation and joint interaction in a way that supports the educational process and students.”
Eng Al Marzouqi said, “This MoU supports the establishment of new relations towards fruitful cooperation between the committee and QU-CENG in the field of academic and research excellence, as well as in the fields of exchange of experiences and scientific research. Hope that this MoU will be a base for further cooperation and integration with the College of Engineering at Qatar University, in addition to developing the skills of students who are the main element for the success of long-term development plans in support of the achievement of Qatar National Vision 2030.”
