Qatar has reaffirmed the peaceful settlement of the Palestine cause through negotiations between the two parties on the basis of the agreed references, the resolutions of the international legitimacy, the land for peace principle, the road map and the Arab peace initiative, as well as the achievement of the two-state solution that guarantees establishing a viable Palestinian state on the basis of June 4, 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
It called for ending the Israeli occupation of the Arab territories, including the Syrian Golan, ensuring the rights of the Palestinian people and fining fair solution for the refugees issue.
In a statement before the United Nations General Assembly, Permanent Representative of Qatar to the United Nations Ambassador HE Sheikha Alya Ahmed bin Saif Al Thani said Qatar supports all the efforts aimed at solving the Palestinian issue and achieving peace in the Middle East. She reaffirmed that Qatar will continue to provide political and humanitarian support for the benefit of the Palestinians. page 2
