The designated authorities referred 46 people to the Public Prosecution for not wearing masks in public places. The authorities have called on the public to adhere to the COVID-19 precautionary measures to ensure their safety and that of others.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) announced on Thursday 221 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, of which 165 were from the community and 56 from travellers returning from abroad who are subject to quarantine.
The MoPH also recorded 228 recoveries from the virus during the past 24 hours, bringing the total number of recovered in Qatar to 136,741. (QNA)
