Consumer prices in Turkey increased by 14.03 per cent in November compared to the same month it 2019, led by a surge in food and service prices, official data showed on Thursday.
In October, annualized inflation stood at 11.89 per cent.
Services saw the largest year-on-year increase at 29.42 per cent, followed by foodstuffs at 21.08 per cent and transportation at 18.67 per cent, according to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TurkStat).
The Turkish economy registered growth of 6.7 per cent year-on-year in the third quarter, TurkStat data showed on Monday. The country is yet to recover from the adverse impact of the coronavirus pandemic, with the number of new cases steadily increasing.
