Qatar’s Committee for the Reconstruction of Gaza, in cooperation with Qatar Fund for Development, on Thursday began disbursing cash aid to poor families in Gaza.
Qatar’s Committee for the Reconstruction of Gaza Chairman Ambassador HE Mohammed Al Emadi said the aid will be provided to 100,000 families in the Gaza Strip, with each family receiving $100.
He said the disbursal of aid will take place through branches of the post office and will be fully supervised by staff from the Qatari committee, in cooperation with the designated authorities, led by the Ministry of Social Development and the Ministry of communications and Information Technology in Gaza.
Al Emadi said strict precautionary and preventative measures are followed while implementing the process, to ensure the safety of the beneficiaries and the workers.
