The Municipal and Health Control Departments at the Doha Municipality have carried out extensive campaigns to enhance food service workers’ understanding of safe and unsafe food preparation and handling practices.
The campaign saw municipal authorities distributing leaflets and workers’ guides featuring safe practices in the areas of food storage, preparation and serving, in different languages.
The awareness campaign addressed the circumstances under which food workers should handle food, or what safety precautions should be enforced.
The campaign was part of the strategy plan of the Ministry of Municipality and Environment for 2020. (TNn)
