The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) signed a partnership agreement with ExxonMobil Qatar to support energy laboratories at two new science and technology schools. Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Dr Ibrahim Al Nuaimi said the ministry is working to increase the percentage of students enrolled in secondary education programmes in science, technology, engineering and mathematics specialisations.
Therefore, the project of establishing science and technology schools is one of the most important one that can directly achieves this goal and also achieve the Qatar National Vision 2030, which is based on building the economy knowledge and a new generation of scientists and researchers.
Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Educational Affairs Fawzia Al Khater explained that the existing partnership between the ministry and ExxonMobil is one of the strongest partnerships that have resulted in successful and fruitful projects expressing pride in this cooperation, which is directly in the interest of students in Qatar.
