Islamabad: Thousands rallied in Pakistan on Monday as the opposition builds momentum to dislodge the government of Prime Minister Imran Khan as the country battles a second wave of Covid-19. The rally in historic city of Multan marks the fifth such gathering organized by the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM), an alliance of 11 opposition parties. Local administration blocked the city’s entry points with shipping containers and mobile phone service remained suspended in the city, but political workers defied all restrictions for the rally.
