Al Maha Academy for Girls (AMAG) recently welcomed a prestigious curriculum deputation from the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE).
The purpose of the visit was to showcase and share Ta’allum’s significant achievements in developing outstanding provision for online learning with a focus on integrated good practice.
Director of Curriculum at the Ministry of Education and Higher Education Rema Abu Qadeja expressed admiration of the ministry’s visitors about the school’s online learning platform, stressing that they were greatly impressed by the skill, wide range and quality of what they observed and by the passion and commitment of the school team.
In a statement, the school said, “Ta’allum is at the forefront of innovative use of technology to support learning. Themes covered during the visit included the IT Infrastructure and Enterprise Resource Planning, School Information Systems - SIMS AX Dynamics, Microsoft Office 365 Tools and the use of MS Teams for Live lesson delivery and assessment.
“The visitors observed first-hand the communication and collaboration which has ensued across the whole organisation, including stakeholder engagement. They viewed the positive impact on classroom learning of online resources such as, ‘Tapestry, Tales Toolkit, Bug Club, Starfall, Phonics Play, Mathletics, I Read Arabic, Power Maths, Read Write Inc and others.”
Ta’allum’s Director of Education Dr Mohammed Saefan praised the Academy’s Senior Team led by Principal Jeanette Azouz and Heads of School Kush Baines, Nadia, Gail and all their teams.
He said, “The AMAG team produced highly effective, informative presentations and conveyed a most positive, professional and forward-thinking impression of online learning developments for our visitors, Ta’allum in general and Al Maha Academy for Girls in particular. They represented Ta’allum with great distinction. The impact of an occasion such as this has wide reverberations in consolidating Ta’allum’s positive and growing reputation as a leader and pathfinder in Qatari education sector.”
Ta’allum CEO Ahmed Al Mannai said, “The integrated development of the Ta’allum ICT infrastructure over time emphasises Ta’allum’s aim to ensure our students are equipped with the advanced 21st Century skills to be successful leaders of the next generation. The hard work in developing our IT infrastructure paid off at the start of the pandemic. We were ready for immediate, seamless implementation of a high-quality online learning programme for the benefit of students.”
